T.O. Sterrett has worked in the NY theatre scene for more than 20 years, including his most recent work on Broadway as Pianist and Assistant Conductor for the hit Broadway musical WICKED

He grew up in a musical family in northern Florida and attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolilna, spending countless hours as Music Director for productions by the student musical theatre club Hoof 'n' Horn. Next was a few years working at various musical theatre jobs throughout the eastern United States and then several years in Boston, where, among other things, he was vocal coach for Richard Greenberg and played and sang on various recordings and commercials. He then spent a year as a Music Director for Indiana Repertory Theatre in Indianapolis before moving into the theatre district of New York City.

In addition to his work in NY as a vocal coach, he worked as a keyboard player, conductor, music director, and synthesizer programmer for national tours and several off-Broadway shows. (Be on the lookout in your local area for a production of Gutenberg! The Musical! T.O. did the music arrangements and was the original Music Director for this hit Off-Broadway show!) His first Broadway job was Pianist and Assistant Conductor for the hit show CATS, and he has worked at several other Broadway shows, including MAMMA MIA and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.

Mr. Sterrett has worked as Conductor for Tony Award winners Tommy Tune, Ben Vereen, Joel Grey, Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, George Hearn and Norbert Leo Butz. He has also worked as Conductor for Mos Def, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Rue McClanahan, Katey Sagal, Jean Stapleton, S. Epatha Merkerson, Joey McIntyre and many others.

Additionally, he has played keyboard accompaniment for Michael Crawford, Diahann Carroll, Carol Channing, Nell Carter, Elaine Stritch, Marin Mazzie, Gregg Edelman, Judy Kuhn, J.K. Simmons, Shirley Bassey, Sam Harris, Taye Diggs, Petula Clark, Livingston Taylor, and more.
